Subscription & pricing
What's free, what does Premium cost?
Free: the start of the course (alphabet and the first lessons), all dialect audio samples and a trial budget of 10 conversation minutes for role-play, debate and the vocabulary trainer. Premium unlocks the complete course from A1 to A2 (22 units), unlimited AI role-plays and debates, plus word-by-word pronunciation feedback.
How does the 7-day trial work?
You start the trial week in the app and get full Premium access right away. If you cancel within the 7 days, you pay nothing — after that, the trial rolls into the plan you picked (monthly or yearly).
How do I cancel my subscription?
Your subscription runs through your app-store account, not through us — so cancelling takes two minutes directly in the store:
iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Yallah Speak → Cancel.
Android: Play Store → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Yallah Speak → Cancel.
After cancelling you keep Premium until the end of the paid period, and can keep using the free part afterwards.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google: for Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com, for Google via your order history in the Play Store. If something went wrong, write to us as well — we look at every case.
Learning & progress
Can I switch dialects later?
Any time: Settings → Learning → Dialect. Your progress isn't lost — course and vocabulary stay, only your conversations and audio examples switch to the new dialect.
Does my progress sync between devices?
Yes. Course progress and your own vocabulary decks sync with your account: just sign in on the new device with the same account, and everything is there. You need an internet connection while learning.
How do I reset my progress?
On the profile page you'll find the "Reset progress" section with three separate options: course progress, vocabulary decks and chat history. You choose exactly what starts over. Careful: a reset can't be undone.
What are the vowel marks (harakat) — and can I hide them?
Harakat are the small reading aids above and below the letters. You can show or hide them in the settings — at first they help you read, later you'll read like a native speaker without them.
How do I type in Arabic?
You'll need your device's Arabic keyboard. The app shows you a guide the first time; you can also find it any time under Settings → Help → Arabic keyboard. Short version — iPhone: Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → add Arabic. Android: via your keyboard app's settings (e.g. Gboard → Languages).
Account & tech
How do I delete my account?
In the app under Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and your synced data. You still need to cancel a running subscription in the App Store or Play Store — deleting the account does not end the subscription automatically.
I don't get learning reminders
First check whether notifications for Yallah Speak are allowed in your device's system settings. In the app you can enable reminders and pick the time under Settings → Notifications.
Pronunciation feedback doesn't react
Usually the microphone permission is missing: allow Yallah Speak microphone access in your system settings. If that doesn't help, check your internet connection — speech recognition runs online. If the problem persists, write to us with your device model.
Which languages is the app available in?
The app guides you through Arabic in eight languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Turkish, Russian, Indonesian and Hindi. Switch under Settings → Language & display.
