Terms of Use

Last updated: July 13, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Yallah Speak mobile application (the "App") and the website yallahspeak.com (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Fouad El Ajouaoui (the "Operator", "we", "us") — you can reach us at info@yallahspeak.com. By creating an account, installing the App or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Yallah Speak is a language-learning service for Arabic. It includes a structured course, a vocabulary trainer, audio playback, and AI-powered conversation features such as role-plays, debates and pronunciation feedback in several Arabic dialects. The Service is for personal, non-commercial educational use. It is a learning aid — it is not a certified language qualification, translation service or professional advice of any kind.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract under the law that applies to you. If you are a minor, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. When you create an account you must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure; you are responsible for activity that happens through your account. You may delete your account at any time in the App under Settings → Account → Delete account.

3. Free content, Premium and trial

Parts of the Service are free of charge. Additional features ("Premium") — such as the complete course, unlimited AI conversations and word-by-word pronunciation feedback — require a paid subscription. Current prices are always shown in the app stores before you buy. Where offered, a 7-day free trial gives full Premium access; unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts into the subscription you selected. The exact scope of free and Premium features may change over time (see Section 8).

4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Subscriptions are sold and billed exclusively through Apple's App Store or Google Play, under their respective terms. They renew automatically until you cancel. Cancellation is done directly in your store account (Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Google: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions) and takes effect at the end of the current billing period; amounts already paid for the running period are not refunded on a pro-rata basis. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, because we do not process your payment ourselves. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

5. AI-generated content

Conversations, corrections, translations and pronunciation scores in the App are generated with the help of artificial intelligence. AI output can be incorrect, incomplete or inappropriate despite our safeguards; it does not represent our views, and we do not guarantee its linguistic or factual accuracy. Use your own judgement, and do not rely on AI output where accuracy matters. You must not attempt to manipulate the AI features into producing unlawful or harmful content.

6. Your content and conduct

You keep all rights to text and speech you submit to the Service. You grant us the non-exclusive right to process this input as far as necessary to operate the Service (for example, sending your message to a speech-recognition or AI provider to produce a response — see our Privacy Policy). You agree not to: (a) use the Service for unlawful purposes; (b) upload content that is illegal, offensive or infringes third-party rights; (c) reverse-engineer, scrape, copy or resell the Service or its content; (d) circumvent technical restrictions, usage limits or the subscription model; (e) use the Service to build a competing product or to train machine-learning models.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including its courses, texts, audio recordings, design, logos and software — is protected by copyright and other laws and remains the property of the Operator or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your devices for the duration of your use of the Service. No other rights are granted.

8. Changes to the Service

We are constantly improving the Service and may add, modify or remove features — including which features are free and which are Premium — and may update these Terms to reflect such changes. We will inform you of material changes in an appropriate manner (for example, in the App or by email). If you continue to use the Service after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription in the store.

9. Availability

We aim for high availability, but the Service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. AI and speech features depend on third-party providers and an internet connection and may be temporarily unavailable. We may restrict or suspend the Service where necessary for security, maintenance or legal reasons.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms (in particular Sections 5 and 6), if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service; where reasonable, we will give you prior notice. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a store subscription — cancel it in your store account.

11. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory statutory liability (e.g. product liability). For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper execution of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely), and only up to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded. This does not shift the burden of proof to your disadvantage.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country in which you habitually reside. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).

13. Final provisions

If a provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force. The app-store terms of Apple and Google apply in addition to these Terms for purchases made there; in case of conflict regarding billing, the store terms prevail. Questions?
